    DESCRIPTION: “Princes Street Gardens were originally formed by draining the Nor’Loch and creating the Mound which now leads up to the Castle Rock, dividing the gardens East and West.  These peaceful and beautiful gardens which provide the setting for some of Edinburgh’s most notable monuments are adjacent to Princes Street which has been described as Great Britain’s most beautiful street and is certainly one of her showpieces.”
